Wave is hiring an Application Security Engineer to help make Africa the first cashless continent by ensuring the security of their financial services.
Job Description
Wave is a financial services company focused on making Africa the first cashless continent. They provide financial services that are instantly available and accepted everywhere, even in places where infrastructure is lacking.
Responsibilities
- - Be responsible for application security
- - Work with product teams to enhance security posture
- - Centralise application-level login and permissions enforcement
- - Develop a data protection inventory
- - Conduct security reviews of public-facing APIs
- - Work with IT Team to fix non-conformities found during audits
Required Skills
- - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with at least 2 years in a security-related role
- - Strong experience with Python
- - Fluent English
- - Experience remediating non-conformities
- - Interest in security-focused source code review and penetration testing
- - Interest in growing and mentoring a team
