PostHog is hiring a high-performance API engineer to build systems that respond in single-digit milliseconds at scale.
Job Description
PostHog is an open-source project created during Y Combinator's W20 cohort, offering a suite of products for developers to analyze, test, observe, and deploy new features. The company has experienced significant growth and success, driven by a strong product-led strategy.
Responsibilities
- - Design, build, deploy, and scale the complete feature flags evaluation engine
- - Make high-level architecture decisions
- - Optimize performance bottlenecks
- - Work directly with customers to implement complex targeting rules
Required Skills
- - Experience with any systems programming language and/or backend web frameworks
- - Experience building systems that handle high volumes of requests/data
- - Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques, caching strategies, and distributed systems principles
- - Experience with feature flag systems or similar real-time decision engines is a plus
