Pulumi is hiring a Customer Success Architect to join their Customer Engineering team in Germany to help enterprise customers adopt and scale their cloud engineering platform.

Job Description

Pulumi is reimagining how teams build cloud software, enabling developers and infrastructure experts to work better together through a unique combination of programming languages, tools, and systems innovation. Their flagship infrastructure as code technology is open source and their SaaS product, Pulumi Cloud, provides platform teams, secrets management, and cloud management capabilities, and more.

Responsibilities

  • - Be accountable for success within a subset of named accounts through adoption, use case expansion, value realization, and (ultimately) revenue growth for Pulumi.
  • - Learn and be responsible for deliverables and reference architectures spanning programming languages, infrastructure providers, and open-source and commercial cloud services.
  • - Build deep relationships with practitioners and executives with our most valued customers.
  • - Work alongside account executives to map accounts and drive deeper engagement horizontally across your customer segment.
  • - Be a Subject Matter Expert in DevOps, cloud providers, dev best practices, and solutions architecture.
  • - Provide timely, responsive, and collaborative engagement with your assigned accounts, coordinating with distributed teams to accomplish asynchronous objectives and tasks.
  • - Partner closely with Pulumi leadership to build repeatable engagement and delivery models that delight our customers and expand resources under management as we expand the team and our capabilities.
  • - Close the loop between customers, product, and engineering teams, championing the product to the customer and bringing their requirements to the roadmap.
  • - Be challenged, solve new problems, teach about our technologies, and figure out new, better ways to delight our customers.

Required Skills

  • - 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, professional services, or enterprise software engineering, with a focus on delivering complex technical solutions in customer environments.
  • - 5+ years in customer-facing roles guiding enterprise onboarding, implementation, and ongoing technical success.
  • - Proven ability to lead technical discovery, define architectures, and drive adoption of cloud infrastructure solutions from proof-of-concept through scale.
  • - Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CDK, including authoring production-ready code.
  • - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, F#) and ability to create maintainable, reusable code in real-world cloud automation projects.
  • - Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, application modernization patterns, and open source technologies.
  • - Experience collaborating across technical and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes, including risk mitigation, architectural best practices, and customer success plans.
  • - Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across technical and executive stakeholders, including developers, architects, and business leaders.
  • - Experience working as part of a larger integrated account team that includes Sales, Architect, Solutions Engineering, Post-Sales and Leadership.
  • - Experience delivering Executive-level QBRs, providing strategic updates on account health, revenue performance, ongoing initiatives and identifying risks across aligned accounts.
  • - Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • - Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; able to define direction, adapt quickly, and drive initiatives to completion.

Benefits

  • - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance at no cost to U.S. employees.
  • - Unlimited PTO policy encouraging balance and rest, with a requirement to take at least three weeks off annually, plus 13 U.S. holidays.
  • - 401(k) plan with an employer match for U.S. employees.
  • - 20 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents or primary caregivers, and 16 weeks for non-birthing parents or secondary caregivers.
  • - Remote-first culture with flexible work and an annual 'work from anywhere' stipend.
  • - Annual learning and development budget to support growth, learning, and career goals.
  • - Equity ownership for all employees.
  • - Monthly wellness fund to support mental and physical well-being, and a quarterly happiness fund for team connection or personal use.
