Overview

PostHog is looking for a Developer who organizes events to represent the company at events and build a community of superfans.

Job Description

PostHog equips every developer to build better products. We are a single platform to analyze, test, observe, and deploy new features. We give engineers product & web analytics, session replay, feature flags, experiments, a CDP, SQL access, and a data warehouse. PostHog was created as an open-source project during Y Combinator's W20 cohort and had the most successful B2B software launch on HackerNews since 2012. Since then, more than 70,000 companies have installed the platform.

Responsibilities

  • - Building an army of 500 superfans who will fight for us.
  • - Running all our events, including worldwide hackathons where people build real products
  • - Managing our social media, using it to get attendance
  • - Travelling to events yourself so we have a person on the ground

Required Skills

  • - Must be willing to travel for events.
  • - Must have organized events for developers before (of any scale).
  • - Must be reasonably technical. You don't have to be a software engineer, but should be able to talk confidently about all our features and converse with founders/engineers.
  • - Confidence is a must-have, as you'll be meeting a lot of new people.
  • - Nice to have: Experience working with social influencers and YouTubers

Benefits

  • - Generous, transparent compensation & equity
  • - Unlimited vacation (with a minimum!)
  • - Two meeting-free days per week
  • - Home office Coworking credit
  • - Private health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • - Training budget
  • - Access to our Hedge House
  • - Carbon offsetting
  • - Pension & 401k contributions
  • - Company offsites

About the company

PostHog started as open source product analytics. We've grown into a product & data toolkit, used by 70,000+ teams. We launched on Hacker News with our MVP – just 4 weeks after we started writing code. The response was overwhelmingly positive. We had over 300 deployments in a couple of days. 2 weeks later, we'd gone past 1,500 stars on GitHub.
