
Engineering Manager – Reporting

Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to join our Engineering and lead the Reporting team. This is a hybrid role – part leadership, part deep technical contribution, with approximately 50% of your time spent coding.
Responsibilities
- - Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams
- - Actively contribute to the codebase – building and maintaining the high-scale data ingestion and time-series reporting infrastructure
- - Drive team execution by aligning delivery with business and product goals
- - Partner with Product Owners and Tech Leads to shape scope and roadmap
- - Ensure robustness, scalability, and security in all deliverables
- - Foster a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence
- - Actively contribute to hiring, onboarding, and team-building efforts
- - Be a role model and champion of Cast AI’s values and engineering culture
- - Participate in the incident response process as needed.
Required Skills
- - Proven experience leading technical teams in a fast-paced environment
- - Strong software engineering skills with experience in distributed systems and backend development, ideally in Go
- - Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals or cloud-native infrastructure
- - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- - Strong grasp of database systems and architecture; experience with time-series databases is a plus
- - CI/CD and DevOps practices experience
- - Clear communicator with strong written and verbal English skills
- - Collaborative and action-oriented leadership style.
