Responsibilities

• - Lead the Edge team in building and maintaining key infrastructure and services
• - Nurture a high-performing team and shape strategic direction
• - Construct and monitor vital business services known as 'Zaps'
• - Execute and authenticate actions within the system
• - Enable and empower the evolution of Zapier's core workflow product
• - Own and evolve business metrics
• - Partner closely with engineering, design, and product functions
• - Develop effective communication and leadership strategies
• - Mentor engineers and help them grow in their careers
• - Participate in code reviews and spread technical knowledge
• - Collaborate across various disciplines to set technical roadmaps
• - Actively recruit, onboard, and train new engineers

Required Skills

• - At least two years of experience managing teams of Backend Engineers
• - Ability to hire, train, and develop engineers from diverse backgrounds
• - Experience setting goals, metrics, and strategy for a product-focused Engineering team
• - Excellent communication skills
• - Strong background in leading a team of Engineers working in Python, Django, React, ES6, or Node.js
• - Adaptability in fast-growing companies
