Responsibilities

• - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team focused on secrets management, configuration, and security
• - Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative culture that prioritizes team ownership, customer focus, and growth
• - Provide career development opportunities and conduct regular performance reviews to support team member growth
• - Work closely with product management, design, and other engineering leaders to define and execute the ESC roadmap
• - Align the team''s efforts with Pulumi''s broader security and developer experience goals
• - Drive the development of secure, reliable, and user-friendly features that solve complex infrastructure and security challenges for developers
• - Ensure the team delivers high-quality, well-tested, and scalable systems that integrate seamlessly with the Pulumi ecosystem
• - Advocate for customer-centric development by incorporating user feedback and telemetry into planning and decision-making
• - Lead by example in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural design processes when needed

Required Skills

• - 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing high-performing, inclusive teams
• - Strong technical background in security products, developer tooling, or cloud infrastructure, with a deep understanding of secrets management or encryption
• - Experience delivering customer-focused, secure software solutions at scale
• - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly convey technical concepts and product vision
• - Familiarity with modern Infrastructure as Code practices and tools is a plus
