Responsibilities
- - Lead a team of engineers focused on scaling revenue systems
- - Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing throughout Zapier
- - Work closely with product and design peers to deliver customer and company value
- - Develop effective ways to communicate, monitor, and lead your team
- - Build rapport with each member of the Engineering Team and support them through coaching and mentorship
- - Maintain a focus on our customers by using customer feedback to guide your team
- - Work directly with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our systems are serving their needs
- - Actively recruit, onboard, and train new engineers at Zapier
Required Skills
- - Deep understanding of global payment ecosystems
- - Expertise in billing compliance and security
- - Mastery of key industry metrics such as decline rates, conversion rates, involuntary churn, and downgrade recovery
- - Success in billing systems involves embracing rapid development and iterative improvements
- - Strong communication skills to align on a shared vision and strategy
- - Ability to build relationships and foster cooperation
- - Experience with payment processing systems such as Stripe, PayPal, or Square
