Fingerprint empowers developers to stop online fraud at the source. We work on turning radical new ideas in the fraud detection space into reality. Our products are developer-focused and our clients range from solo developers to publicly traded companies. We are a globally dispersed, 100% remote company with a strong open-source focus. Our flagship open-source project is FingerprintJS (20K stars on GitHub). We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (previously invested in Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb), Nexus Venture Partners (previously invested in Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures (previously invested in Redis, Rollbar & Gradle). As a Front End Developer you will be responsible for maintaining the optimal performance and user experience of our web platforms. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our websites remain up-to-date, functional, and visually appealing. You will collaborate with a passionate team of developers and designers to implement new features and troubleshoot issues.
Responsibilities
- - Regularly update website content, fix broken links, and ensure all pages are visually appealing and up-to-date.
- - Monitor website performance and optimize loading speeds and capacity.
- - Debug pages and fix any bugs or issues promptly.
- - Develop new user-facing features and enhance the website''s functionality using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- - Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- - Validate input before submitting to the back end.
- - Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve the website''s usability.
- - Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers.
- - Provide website maintenance and enhancements.
- - Create and maintain software documentation.
- - Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- - Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and apply them into operations and activities.
Required Skills
- - 2-3 years of proven experience as a Front End Developer or similar role.
- - Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- - Experience with advanced JavaScript and TypeScript libraries.
- - Experience with Gatsby or similar React-based frameworks is highly desirable.
- - Solid experience with serverless architecture is essential, particularly with Edge Middleware and Vercel''s serverless functions, as these are integral to our website''s infrastructure.
- - Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- - Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- - Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git and Github.
- - Familiarity with tools such as Figma is a plus.
- - Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
- - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- - Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
