HelloBetter is hiring a Senior Backend Developer to join their Engineering Team. This is a remote opportunity for candidates within Europe (CET +/- 4.5 hours). The role offers a salary between 76,000 - 94,000 € per year.
Job Description
HelloBetter is a pioneer in the field of digital healthcare. For more than 10 years, we have been developing evidence-based digital health applications for the prevention and treatment of mental health conditions. Our applications cover a variety of areas, including stress management, depression, problematic alcohol use, panic disorder and anxiety, vaginismus, and sleep disorders.
Responsibilities
- - Design, develop, and maintain efficient backend microservices
- - Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional team members
- - Encourage innovative ideas for new products or features
- - Embrace continuous education and training
- - Advocate agile processes, operational excellence, and coding best practices
- - Demonstrate leadership capabilities by taking charge of projects
Required Skills
- - Several years of work experience as Software Developer
- - 3+ years of experience with Node.js
- - Proficient experience using non-relational Databases (MongoDB)
- - Affinity for test-driven development and code documentation
- - Experience with Queue Management systems like Amazon SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
- - Nice to Haves: Experience in TypeScript
- - Ability to design large-scale resilient distributed microservices on a cloud infrastructure (preferably Kubernetes)
- - Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO 13485) for medical products
- - Working knowledge of Redis and ElasticSearch
- - University Degree in Computer Science or similar
