
Senior Director - Technology
Overview
IRAP is seeking a Senior Director - Technology to develop and lead tech strategy and direction at IRAP, driving advancement through the establishment of foundational systems that can be scaled, overseeing tech infrastructure, projects and initiatives, and ensuring data security and compliance.
Job Description
The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a dynamic and growing legal and policy advocacy organization that works to develop and enforce a system of legal and human rights for refugees and displaced people around the world. IRAP operates offices in the U.S., Jordan, Lebanon, and Europe.
Responsibilities
- - Lead strategic planning for the Tech team
- - Develop and implement foundational technology systems and processes
- - Assess new technologies for adoption
- - Collaborate with internal stakeholders
- - Maintain relationships with Tech partners
- - Develop and oversee the Tech budget
- - Conduct an org-wide tech mapping process
- - Oversee IT infrastructure and Tech projects
- - Lead digital transformation initiatives
- - Ensure data security and compliance
- - Develop SOPs and tech work policies
- - Lead a global and cross-functional Tech team
- - Structure the team’s roles based on tech needs
- - Provide continuous feedback and support
- - Foster a collaborative work environment
- - Hire, retain, and develop diverse talents
- - Represent the Tech team within leadership
Required Skills
- - Bachelor''s Degree in relevant technology field
- - MBA with focus on strategy and leadership is a plus
- - 10+ years of work experience in a global nonprofit or start-up
- - 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience
- - Experience with Salesforce integrations
- - Expertise managing security and privacy compliance
- - Strong technical knowledge (IT infrastructure, projects, and data security)
- - Strong project management skills
- - Highly adaptable and skilled at allocating resources
- - Excellent strategic thinking skills
- - Highly organized and motivated
- - Demonstrates a deep connection to IRAP’s mission
- - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- - Excellent people management skills
- - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
