Senior Frontend Engineer

Job Description
WordPress VIP, the enterprise division of Automattic, is the platform for building, maintaining, scaling, and measuring content experiences. Our suite of technologies, services, and integrations combine the ease and flexibility of WordPress with enterprise-grade scalability, security, and data-driven features, to help the largest companies in the world build better digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- - Discovery work and writing technical design proposals and documentation
- - Building, debugging, and testing (including writing automated tests and doing manual testing)
- - Participating in release planning and roll-outs
- - Measuring impact and iterating
- - Comfortably navigate and understand backend codebases
- - Design novel implementations of interfaces and data visualization
- - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders
- - Analyze customer usage data to improve the user experience of existing and new features
Required Skills
- - Production experience with JavaScript/TypeScript including one or more frontend frameworks
- - Experience working with a large-scale client-side application to make it faster, more scalable, and fault-tolerant
- - Highly collaborative with a strong enthusiasm for participating in code reviews and discussions about architecture, technical design, and solving customer problems
- - Knowledgeable about design patterns and testability
- - Familiarity with writing accessible code and prioritizing inclusion before shipping any code
- - Customer-focused mindset, with good instincts on product design and user experience
- - Willingness to learn
