Postscript is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to create a best in class popup editor and enable brands to maximize their subscriber list growth.

Postscript gives ecommerce brands the tools they need to run a world-class SMS marketing program. We’re on a mission to make SMS the number-one revenue channel for ecommerce merchants by delivering an easy-to-use platform where they can grow their subscriber list, develop and test their messaging strategy, deliver excellent customer service, and drive sales and loyalty—all in one place.

Responsibilities

- Build performant, reliable, and scalable frontend interfaces for merchants and their customers.
- Take ownership and be creative with your solutions as you help deliver excellent products to our customers.
- Contribute to the health of the team through honest and direct feedback as we iterate and improve on our processes.
- Guide your team to make optimal technical and product design decisions.
- Identify and execute on points of scale in order to maximize throughput and efficiency.
- Mentor other engineers on best practices and growth opportunities.
- Be accountable for communicating transparently and proactively, defining scope, breaking down and estimating tasks, risk and change management.

Required Skills

- Minimum 6 years professional software development experience.
- A proven career as a software engineer developing modern web applications with a focus on frontend architecture and user experience.
- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and vanilla JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of state management patterns and libraries (e.g., React Context), modular component design, and front end testing frameworks (e.g. React Testing Library, Cypress).
- Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG, a11y), and responsive design best practices.
- Experience building modular, flexible architectures (maximizing readability and extensibility).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience building great products (high growth, early stage tech preferred).
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers.
