TestGorilla is a fast-growing HR tech company that helps teams make better hiring decisions, faster and bias-free. We are seeking a Staff Engineer to drive technical excellence, enhance the developer experience, and enable the development of a reliable, scalable, and robust product.

Job Description

At TestGorilla, we envision a world where everyone has their dream job. We started in 2020 by building a screening platform that enables employers to evaluate candidates in the skills that matter most for success in a role. Our product replaces subjective, incomplete, and often inflated CVs with objective, reliable, and fair test results measuring aptitude, practical job skills, motivation, and culture add.

Responsibilities

  • - Partnering with engineering and product leaders to align technical initiatives with long-term business objectives.
  • - Identifying and executing key initiatives to improve system performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • - Enhancing developer experience by improving tooling, workflows, and way of working.
  • - Role model on quality and efficiency by actively contributing to codebases, driving best practices, and demonstrating excellence through hands-on work.
  • - Providing coaching and mentorship to engineers, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and professional growth.
  • - Supporting teams in making well-informed technical decisions by balancing trade-offs, risk, and business impact.
  • - Leading architectural decisions to build a high-quality, maintainable, and extensible platform.
  • - Driving proactive measures to minimize technical debt and ensure structured execution of platform initiatives.
  • - Embedding AI technologies in our stack to enable new AI-driven capabilities in our product.
