Responsibilities
- - Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale
- - Collaborate across teams in the product development lifecycle
- - Act as a force-multiplier for your team through technical solutions and operational processes
- - Take ownership of your team''s operations and availability
- - Foster a culture of quality and ownership on your team
- - Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance
Required Skills
- - 8+ years of experience as a software engineer
- - Proficient in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- - Proficient in developing web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
- - Ensure high availability and resilience of critical services
- - Partner with Observability and Reliability teams
- - Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component
- - Automate operational tasks, deployments, failover processes, and scaling strategies
- - Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills
