Job Description
Checkly is a remote-first startup focused on enabling developers to detect and resolve issues faster with code-first synthetic monitoring enriched with OTEL Tracing. We are a high productivity, no meeting, async-first engineering team with a strong SRE culture.
Responsibilities
- - Build high reliability, scalable and delightful software
- - Overcome difficult challenges with a strong background in distributed systems architecture
- - Build high scale OTEL Backend based on Clickhouse
- - Be hands-on in our stack to build OTEL Tracing combined with Synthetic Monitoring
Required Skills
- - Background of technical leadership driving engineering excellence
- - Experience in building, scaling or managing production web services
- - Experience with production deployments in the cloud (especially AWS)
- - Deep working experience with AWS, Clickhouse, Postgres and Node.js
- - First-hand experience with SRE practices: SLOs/SLAs, modern incident management, etc.
- - Know how to communicate with coworkers and customers in English
- - Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment
