Job Description

Responsibilities

• - Leading a distributed team of engineers, providing regular feedback, coaching and mentoring
• - Working closely with Data Leadership and stakeholders on defining, prioritising and delivering our roadmap
• - Building relationships with stakeholders to best support their needs, and ensuring we deliver impactful work in a timely manner
• - Active contribution to developing and delivering engineering solutions, either through direct work or technical guidance

Required Skills

• - Strong experience with data platform tooling: SQL, data warehouse (eg. Snowflake), dbt, BI tools (eg. Looker, Metabase)
• - Experience leading a team of 2+ engineers, and significant experience as an analytics engineer or developer within data teams
• - Strong understanding of engineering development principles and best practices
• - Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities
• - Inspires others, instills confidence, and good comprehension of team dynamics, coaching and mentoring
• - Great communication, project management skills and ability to lead technical discussions
• - Strong ability to work independently and self-guided, and comfortable with ambiguity
• - Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop
• - Writes and speaks fluent English
