Fly.io is building a new public cloud to make it easy to run apps close to users everywhere. They are looking for a UX Engineer to work on front-end and interaction design, primarily using Elixir.
Job Description
Fly.io is a company building a new public cloud platform with the ergonomics of 'platform as a service' offerings like Heroku, but with the power, flexibility, and economics of a hyperscaler cloud.
Responsibilities
- - Work primarily as an Elixir developer focusing on front-end and interaction design
- - Understand and drive changes in components written in Go, Rust, and Ruby
- - Ensure the team is shipping quickly with a strong browser-based interface
- - Develop strong ideas about improving user experience without relying on a product manager
Required Skills
- - Attuned to the needs of users that ship things on public clouds
- - Relentlessly focused on shipping with 2-week horizons
- - Rock solid with Elixir/Phoenix
- - Unafraid of Go
- - Able to model ambitious features across many layers of software
