Overview

Postscript is looking for a highly dynamic and innovative AI Automation Engineer to join a new internal tools team, acting as a 'force multiplier' across the company.

Job Description

Postscript gives ecommerce brands the tools they need to run a world-class SMS marketing program. We’re on a mission to make SMS the number-one revenue channel for ecommerce merchants by delivering an easy-to-use platform where they can grow their subscriber list, develop and test their messaging strategy, deliver excellent customer service, and drive sales and loyalty—all in one place.

Responsibilities

  • - Partner with key stakeholders around the business
  • - Quickly understand business challenges and translate those into technical solutions
  • - Develop and maintain internal tools that automate existing work and increase employee productivity
  • - Rapidly prototype AI-enabled utilities or automations and deploy them to users
  • - Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • - Structure the work into discrete steps and sprints
  • - Make tough tradeoff decisions optimizing for time to value
  • - Clearly document your work and provide training to users
  • - Lead the evaluation of third-party AI tools and technologies

Required Skills

  • - 4+ years experience building tools and workflows to enhance productivity
  • - A scrappy problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude
  • - A curious mind especially related to AI
  • - Excellent communication and a passion for sharing knowledge
  • - Deep empathy to understand customer pain points and anticipate needs
  • - Hands-on experience using a variety of AI and automation technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Zapier, Retool, Slackbots, Workato, APIs, AI Agents, Pinecone, Streamlit)
  • - Experience with context/prompt engineering
  • - Proficiency with SQL, Python, and Javascript
  • - High ownership and agency
