Responsibilities

  • - Work on building various data platform components
  • - Listen to user feedback and proactively change things for the better
  • - Implement a data model for tables to encapsulate parsing logic, lower costs, and provide better abstractions
  • - Power the recommendation system with a fast, global data store
  • - Improve the build system in repositories to speed up test execution and job deployment
  • - Optimize Spark pipelines, ClickHouse tables/queries, and streaming processing in AWS Lambda

Required Skills

  • - At least 4 years of experience
  • - Solid skills in any programming language (ideally Python)
  • - Experience in big data engineering, web services, and cloud providers (ideally AWS)
  • - Willingness to build many diverse things to develop the platform
