Data Platform Engineer

PostHog is hiring a Data Platform Engineer to automate, manage, and maintain ClickHouse as they grow towards capturing trillions of events per year.
Job Description

Responsibilities
- - Build systems and automations for the provisioning and scaling of large ClickHouse clusters
- - Use Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes to automate the dynamic provisioning of instances
- - Investigate and experiment using the latest hardware from cloud providers
- - Work on bleeding edge Clickhouse implementation
- - Work on Query performance tooling
Required Skills
- - Strong experience with OLAP databases, preferably Clickhouse
- - Experience automating dynamic provisioning of instances, utilizing Terraform, Ansible, and K8s
- - Experience building and operating high-scale complex data storage solutions
- - Proficiency in Python, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and AWS
- - Experience with tools like Zookeeper
- - Can thrive in a culture of autonomy and self-direction
