Job Description

SELECT is seeking a Design Engineer to enhance the user experience of their product. The role involves building and owning the entire design system from ideation to implementation.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the founders and engineering team to conceptualize and implement user-centric designs
- Understand the product and vision at a deep level, crafting interfaces that are delightful to use
- Develop and maintain design systems that promote consistency and scalability
- Work on branding and other materials such as marketing designs and website

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of design principles, established patterns, user experience, and visual aesthetics
- Experience building front-end layouts and components with libraries like React and Tailwind CSS
- Ability to create designs using tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar
- Excellent communication skills and a self-managing approach
- A knack for taking design problems and finding solutions that are intuitive and reduce complexity
