Responsibilities

  • - Lead and develop a team of 4+ product managers through mentorship, clear expectations, and growth opportunities.
  • - Set product vision and strategy for key areas of our platform, translating customer needs and company goals into actionable roadmaps.
  • - Drive clarity and prioritization, helping teams make informed tradeoffs that balance user value, business impact, and technical investment.
  • - Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams to define and deliver cross-functional initiatives that move core metrics.
  • - Establish and evolve product rituals (reviews, retros, planning) to promote consistency, alignment, and focus.
  • - Model data-informed decision making, guiding your PMs to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights in every phase of product development.
  • - Contribute to org-wide product maturity, helping to define frameworks, standards, and best practices across Customer.io’s growing PM discipline.
  • - Foster a culture of trust and empowerment, encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and bias for action.

Required Skills

  • - 8+ years of experience in product management, including 3+ years managing or mentoring PMs.
  • - Proven track record leading B2B SaaS or MarTech products with strong data, workflow, or messaging components.
  • - Demonstrated success driving outcomes through strategy, prioritization, and execution across multiple product areas.
  • - Strong communicator with experience leading distributed, async-first teams.
  • - Comfortable operating at multiple altitudes — from vision and frameworks to hands-on roadmap execution.
  • - Deep empathy for customers paired with analytical rigor to measure and learn from impact.
  • - Experience collaborating closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality product experiences.
  • - Excited by the opportunity to shape both product outcomes and the product management practice at a company in growth mode.

Benefits

  • - 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance premiums for you and your family.
  • - 16 weeks paid parental leave.
  • - Unlimited PTO.
  • - Stipends for remote work and wellness.
  • - A professional development budget.
