Job Description

Responsibilities

• - Define and own the data strategy in collaboration with the Head of Engineering
• - Manage data infrastructure, schema, and APIs
• - Establish strong data foundations by identifying data sources and improving data pipelines
• - Identify opportunities for product-driven AI initiatives
• - Develop foundational data architecture and outline key focus areas
• - Take ownership of identifying and mitigating security, quality, and compliance risks
• - Support and advise colleagues on the existing data stack

Required Skills

• - Product engineering mindset with a strong focus on customer outcomes
• - At least two years of practical experience in data engineering
• - Professional experience integrating Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• - Experience building responsive, performant APIs
• - Experience with modern software engineering practices and backend languages
• - Leadership skills to shape conversations and deliver pragmatic solutions
• - Deep experience in at least one Cloud Platform data stack, ideally GCP
• - Experience working within cross-functional teams
• - Experience with Go or a strong desire to learn it
• - Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and maintaining test suites
