Job Description

Responsibilities

• - Design reusable components and patterns that align with Stripe’s design principles
• - Prototype components and reusable end-to-end experiences, contribute to design system repositories, and support engineering efforts
• - Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation to enable teams across the organization to adopt and extend the design system effectively
• - Create and maintain shared UI libraries, patterns, and templates in Figma
• - Facilitate training sessions to educate and onboard teams using the design system
• - Advocate for accessibility in all aspects of the design system

Required Skills

• - 4+ years relevant design experience at a product-driven tech company
• - Strong skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping demonstrated through a portfolio of work, spanning desktop and mobile surfaces
• - Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams
• - Experience leading changes to a design system
• - Experience working on design systems at scale, including creating and managing shared libraries, templates, and tokens in Figma
• - Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)
• - Familiarity with design tokens, version control systems (e.g. GIT), and tools for maintaining design system documentation
• - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and system concepts to diverse stakeholders
• - Passion for mentoring and educating teams on leveraging design systems to improve workflow efficiency and consistency
