Job Description
Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, with millions of users, growing rapidly year-on-year. We’re looking for an engineer who’s independent and excited about getting things done.
Responsibilities
- - Build and improve the ways people pay with Wave
- - Own every step of the process from understanding the problem to shipping solutions
- - Help the customer support team resolve problems
- - Work in an autonomous, cross-functional team focused on a single area of Wave's product
- - Responsible for a feature or improvement end-to-end, from design through deployment
Required Skills
- - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a product engineer
- - Fluent in English (bilingual in French is a big bonus!)
- - Willingness to travel to operating locations at least once per year
- - Ability to ask for help when stuck
- - Excited to learn about complex systems
- - Clear communication with colleagues
- - Focus on improving as a programmer and colleague
- - Deep understanding of the tools used
