Overview
Kalepa is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to work on the infrastructure and tooling that power their core platform.
Job Description
Kalepa is an AI Underwriting Platform built to deliver Professional-Grade AI in production, helping insurers centralize and prioritize submission data, surface critical risk insights, and make faster, more confident decisions.
Responsibilities
- - Maintain CI/CD pipelines
- - Automate operational workflows
- - Ensure security and compliance to industry standards
- - Improve infrastructure performance and reliability
- - Monitor and optimize system cost
- - Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize environments and deployment patterns
- - Maintain observability and incident response processes
- - Ensure scalability of cloud-based systems
Required Skills
- - 5+ years of software engineering or dev-ops experience
- - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, security, performance, and infrastructure
- - Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
- - Proficiency in Python
- - Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2)
- - Comfortable with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- - Knowledge of terraform, IaaC best practices, Docker or similar tools
- - Bonus: experience with LLMs/generative AI, distributed systems
