Job Description
The Repayment Scheduling engineering team is growing rapidly, and we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend development. We're a Backend team located entirely in Europe within the same time zone, but culturally rooted in Silicon Valley. We build and own the system that enables our users to automate their payments, at a scale of up to $40B each year.
Responsibilities
- - Owning and delivering quarterly goals for your team
- - Leading engineers on your team through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
- - Supporting peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle
- - Proactively identifying project, process, technology or business issues
- - Supporting the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts
- - Fostering a culture of quality and ownership on your team
- - Helping develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance
- - Participating in an on-call rotation
Required Skills
- - 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale
- - Experience with languages like Python or Kotlin
- - Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
- - Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component
- - Ability to write high quality code that is easily understood and used by others
- - Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills
