Senior Software Engineer, Billing & Revenue

Job Description

Responsibilities

• - Own our partner billing system end-to-end: the platform that turns usage and commercial terms into accurate, auditable invoices for our partners.
• - Build and maintain integrations with other backend systems, including our ERP and Data Platform, so revenue data is consistent and reliable across Gigs.
• - Work primarily in Go, our main language for backend services, alongside PostgreSQL and event-driven tooling.
• - Partner closely with Finance and Business Development — sit down with them, understand a commercial model or a new partner deal, and turn it into something that works in production.
• - Design for correctness and observability. You'll build the tests, monitoring, and reconciliation that make revenue numbers something people can rely on.
• - Take complex problems from scoping through to production, and operate what you build.
• - Help shape the foundations, practices, and roadmap of a new Revenue team as it forms.

Required Skills

• - Strong backend engineering experience and are fluent in Go.
• - You've built and run production services, and you care about the quality of the software you produce.
• - You use AI as a core part of how you work, not an occasional shortcut.
• - You can explain the code an agent wrote, catch when it oversteps the ask, and form your own opinion on whether the output is actually good.
• - You're curious about how the tooling is evolving and actively working to get better at it.
• - You think in systems and care about correctness.
• - You enjoy working across teams.
