Responsibilities

• - Learn about Sourcegraph's products, value propositions, customers, team, and processes
• - Set up a fully configured sandbox instance
• - Build trusting relationships with peers on Sales, Value Engineering, Post-sales Customer Success, and Support teams
• - Join customer and prospect calls to understand their needs
• - Get demo certified
• - Take ownership of prospective relationships partnering with Account Executives
• - Lead early-stage conversations with prospective customers
• - Serve as an advocate on behalf of customers
• - Make internal contributions by identifying opportunities to propose and deliver solutions
• - Participate in Solutions Engineer-led projects
• - Establish yourself as a thought leader and evangelist
• - Mentor, recruit, and train teammates, prospects, and new hires

Required Skills

• - At least 5 years experience in Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering
• - Experience selling Enterprise software solutions
• - Innate curiosity of getting to the root of customer problems
• - Excited about generative AI
• - Well versed in back end infrastructure architecture
• - Technically inclined with a propensity to code
• - Experience writing code in JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go
• - Problem solver with troubleshooting skills
• - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments
• - Strong verbal and written communication skills
• - Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle
• - Ability to speak fluently with developer champions and users
• - Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and solutions
• - Enjoy building tools, templates, and technical enablement collateral
• - Organized approach to work
• - Ability to manage concurrent opportunities and make prioritization decisions
• - Willingness to learn new skills to solve problems
• - Ability to work well independently
