Responsibilities
- - Lead the technical design and development of scalable backend systems for AI-powered applications
- - Architect, build, and optimize APIs and workflow systems, including GraphQL subscriptions and event-driven architectures
- - Leverage GenAI frameworks to design and deploy intelligent tools and features
- - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, operations, and AI teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems
- - Ensure best practices in modular architecture, security, observability, and operational excellence
- - Act as a mentor within the engineering team, supporting best practices and technical growth
Required Skills
- - Extensive Python programming experience
- - Recent experience building tools and applications using GenAI frameworks (OpenAI or others), either in professional roles or advanced side projects
- - Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- - Deep expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- - Mastery of workflow systems, event-driven architectures, and API development
- - Proficiency in modular software architecture and best practices for scalable system design
- - Experience designing and managing enterprise software systems with a focus on security, observability, and operations
- - Extensive use of version control systems, particularly Git
- - Strong documentation skills for design specifications and implementation details
- - Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- - Experience with Django, Postgres, Doppler, Backstage, and observability tools like Datadog, Sentry are a big plus
