Job Description
Redpanda is building the streaming data platform for developers, evolving streaming beyond the Apache Kafka® protocol into a unified 'engine of record'.
Responsibilities
- - Gather product requirements and lead the design process from ideation to polished user experiences
- - Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, and product managers to create high-quality prototypes and contribute code to raise product fit and finish
- - Evolve the internal design system, ensuring a high level of craft and consistency
- - Do quantitative and qualitative user research to inform product and design decisions
- - Mentor and support cross-functional stakeholders to foster product quality
- - Work on products that are used by thousands of customers and users on a daily basis
Required Skills
- - A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UX design, ideally designing for complex, technical SAAS products such as developer tools
- - An intermediate level of front-end development knowledge. This is for building prototypes and contributing code for fit and finish
- - Experience using Figma or AI design tools
- - Experience doing quantitative and qualitative user research
- - Experience collaborating closely with marketing, engineering, and product teams
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- - Comfortable working in fast-paced distributed teams
