Software Engineer II, Backend (Card)
Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Card Checkout team, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of complex software systems that allow for a seamless checkout experience for our users.
Job Description
The Card team is responsible for the Card products at Affirm. Our central focus is developing high quality, seamless, scalable and flexible platforms that enable users to get transparent, honest financing for their purchases anywhere with Affirm’s card products.
Responsibilities
- - Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases
- - Collaborate with product management, design & analytics
- - Create and monitor metrics for operations and availability
- - Engage in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process
- - Participate in on-call rotation
Required Skills
- - 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
- - Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems
- - Proficient in Python or Kotlin
- - Familiar with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes
- - Strong verbal and written communication skills
