Job Description
Affirm is a financial technology company that provides consumers with the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. As a Staff Technical Account Manager, you will be integral to the technical success of our largest merchants in a new geographical market.
Responsibilities
- - Be the primary technical lead over a set of key merchants in a new geography
- - Build the trust of your technical counterparts while fostering long term relationships with all merchant partners
- - Project Manage and provide world class technical guidance and solutions for new merchants’ integrations and post launch expansion initiatives
- - Work closely with Commercial team counterpart(s) on establishing overall account strategy based on business goals and opportunities
- - Support clients through their lifetime as Affirm partners
- - Quickly resolve critical technical issues for your accounts
- - Provide early feedback to engineering and product teams while iterating on new products
Required Skills
- - 7+ years in a client-facing technical role, such as a Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Integration Engineer
- - Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and the HTTP protocol
- - Hands-on experience using API testing tools like Postman
- - Proficiency in reading and understanding production-level code
- - Comfortable with HTML, JavaScript and SQL and ideally one server-side language (e.g. Python)
- - A solid grasp of modern web and mobile application architecture
- - Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems
- - Exceptional communication skills
